Only Misbah is other batsman who scored above 50 runs in the innings as he scored 59 runs from 62 balls. Muhammad Hafeez scored just 32 runs while he did well in first ODI by hitting lots of boundaries against Sri Lanka in 1st ODI. Shahid Afridi performed well in 2nd ODI as he hit smash boundaries against Sri Lanka.
In response the Sri Lankan first two batsmen were dismissed by Bilawal Bhatti and Muhammad Hafeez respectively. They were failing to made better partnership in the beginning of the inning as they required. However the other batsmen i.e. Kumar Sangakkara scored 58, 44 from Dinesh Chandimal and 47 from the captain of Sri Lankan team i.e. Angelo Mathews.
Junaid Khan did bowl well as he took 3 wickets by giving 52 runs just in 10 over’s. The result from the first game in Sharjah is that Pakistan won the first game by 11 runs. The Pakistani batsmen did well as they gave 322 runs to chase in 50 over’s that includes 122 runs from Muhammad Hafeez and 73 runs from 68 balls by Sohaib Maqsood. The debutante also played marvelous inning as he scored 61 runs from 61 balls and it’s a good start of his career in the International Cricket World.
In reply Sri Lanka opener Kusual Perera scored 64 and after he no other batsmen passed 50 and they were dismissed for 311. After 2nd ODI the ODI series level by 1-1 and the five match series returns to the crucial point at Sharjah.
